To bolster the existing technology ecosystem in the area, the Adani Group is constructing an integrated data center and technology business park in the city of Vizag, which is located in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. On May 3, a groundbreaking ceremony was performed at the park site in Vizag. Present at the event were the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Rajesh Adani, the Managing Director of the Adani Group, as well as Karan Adani, the Chief Executive Officer and Whole-Time Director of Adani Ports and SEZ (APSEZ).
The project, which will include a data center, technology and business park, and skill development center, would create new gateways of growth in the region and produce jobs for the residents. Additionally, it will connect Vizag to the APAC (Asia-Pacific) IT ecosystem. AdaniConneX, an equal partnership between Adani Group and EdgeConneX, will house an integrated 300 MW data center facility inside the park. The park will be powered by up to one hundred percent sustainable energy and connected with solid terrestrial and submarine infrastructure. These features will assist in deploying cloud computing and other emerging technologies in the region. The consolidated operation will be one of India's largest hyperscale data centers.
