Real estate private equity firm Area Group has started building a data center campus in Kedah, Malaysia. Construction has begun on a 30-acre parcel, with a 126-acre expansion planned in two years. The completed 156-acre campus will be worth $15 billion. The first data center, powered by a 132kV substation, is set to finish by late 2025.
