New Nordic data center firm Fossefall has acquired Fyresdal Datacenter from Norwegian holding company Norsk Data AS to establish its first AI factory in Norway.
The company described the acquisition as a "strategic step" in its ambitious plan to build Nordic-owned AI factories in both Norway and Sweden, aiming for a total capacity of up to 500MW by 2030.
Norsk Data, which was founded in 2021, handed over the Fyresdal site to Fossefall following several years of collaboration with the local municipality.
