April 28, 2026
Google is spending $15 billion on new data centers and other digital infrastructure in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This significant investment will comprise three linked data center campuses in the Visakhapatnam area, totaling 480 acres: a 120-acre facility in Adivivaram, a 200-acre facility in Tarluvada, and a 160-acre facility in the Rambilli–Achyutapuram cluster.
The search and cloud giant will work with Indian firms AdaniConneX and Airtel to build an “AI hub” in the city of Visakhapatnam, on India's east coast. The company hopes to start construction early 2026, with completion within two and a half years.
