Inligo Networks is establishing a critical Cable Landing Station (CLS) in Darwin, Northern Territory, positioning the region as a major digital gateway for Australia and the Indo-Pacific. This new facility will serve as the crucial onshore point for the flagship Asia Connect Cable (ACC-1), a vast 19,000-kilometre subsea system connecting Australia to Southeast Asia and the United States.
Darwin CLS has a capacity to land 4 or more subsea cables with a minimum capacity of 200 racks with both AC and DC power available. Front haul for cables is included in the facility design. The facility is designed to support diverse lead in for backhaul providers.
Furthermore, the CLS will integrate with the Unite Cable System, a high-speed terrestrial fibre network linking Darwin to major Australian cities like Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. Scheduled for completion in the second half of 2026, this infrastructure is a significant strategic investment designed to provide hyperscale, low-latency connectivity, fostering digital growth and trade between Australia's north and the dynamic economies of the Indo-Pacific.
