The former Remington Arms manufacturing plant in Ilion, New York, is being converted into a large-scale data center campus. Turin Hoefler Avenue LLC is leading the redevelopment of the 32-acre site, which ceased firearms production in early 2024 after more than two centuries of operation.
The project involves an estimated investment of $2 billion to $3 billion to construct approximately 500,000 square feet of data center facilities and a dedicated power substation. The redevelopment is being managed through the state’s Brownfield Cleanup Program to repurpose the existing 1.1 million-square-foot industrial complex for digital infrastructure.
