While the development promises approximately $6 million in tax revenue for the City of Urbana and its school system, the project's future has become increasingly precarious. On April 22, 2026, the Urbana City Council moved to repeal the zoning ordinance that currently permits data centers on light industrial land, leaving the fate of the "Form8tion" unit's latest expansion hanging in the balance.
